Out of Balance Sheet Error in Sage 50
In the Beginning Balances for General Ledger Accounts window, Sage 50 will tell you if you are out of balance and will create (or edit) an equity account to reflect the discrepancy.
Beginning Balance Equity is the name of this account, and Equity-Doesn't Close is its type. Although this account won't show up in the Beginning Balances box, it will on financial statements and reports from the general ledger.
