A linear motion stage (also called a linear motor stage) is a precision positioning platform designed for high-accuracy automation, semiconductor manufacturing, CNC systems, laser processing, and laboratory applications. Linear stages are specialized devices whether mechanical or electromechanical that enable precise, controlled movement along a single straight-line axis. The stages that are used in environments that require coming down to fine positioning are found in the production of semiconductors, laser cutting and engraving, 3D printing, research in the laboratory, and inspection work. They further function to facilitate the automation of sample handling and the support of alignment tasks that are carefully found in the field of microscopy, as well as medical equipment.
